There's a part of me which almost wants "Senator Crupt" to win next week, so I can write another quick story about him. See

"Senator Crupt" is now gone, sad to say.
I was going to do a bit with him propped up in a backroom, unmoving, while his ambitious handlers plot their next campaign step. They were going to use recorded excerpts from previous speeches in an upcoming debate, using Crupt as a kind of ventriloquist's dummy. (Crupt, recall, died in the middle of the campaign.)
Needless to say, the debate the recorder would go haywire, with fun for all.
That was the concept anyway! I'd yet to write it out. Who'd thought Sestak would pull the upset?
Oh well.
