ULA Advocacy

I want to remind writers of all stripes that the ULA first is a writers advocacy group. We have a track record of fighting for the interests of writers; aren't just talk. Neither are we a bourgeois outfit charging hefty fees but too timid to make waves with the Big Guys. We're not afraid of anybody-- we know how to make noise and we've built a platform for delivering to the world what we say.

Fed up? Cheated? Screwed over? Shoved aside? Drop us a line.

Sure, we promote the underdogs. But it's critical to note that they've paid their dues. They know their scenes inside and out. They have followings. They know all sides of the business. They're bootstrappers. Heavyweights (yet quick and responsive). They're rejected, but it's important to know who's rejecting: it's not the readers. It's the gatekeepers---they hate a new talent who rocks the boat, hate the untamed street-scrapper who tries to change things. They're busy propping up the old guard, the old ways---so busy, so much to do, timing everything, getting everyone on the same page, you don't know the hours we work, who do you think you are? We're contenders, is who we are and we're in the ring. Get ready!
