A Point to Be Stressed

The ULA's demise has been predicted from the beginning. Yet we persist, slowly but steadily growing stronger. The Medusa reading was a big success for us-- not solely because we strengthened the ULA's solidarity; not just because we all had a great time. We proved that we could reach out to ALL kinds of writers.

Many important figures on the local lit/arts scene were there. (Look again at who we had on our card.) We made other new friends the day after at Philly Zinefest. The positive benefits of that weekend will long be felt.
